As an admirer of music, a concert is a must experience. I've been to concerts in the past, but never anything I'll reminisce about in the future. Seeing my favorite band live was a goal I'd hoped for for a long time, and the opportunity arrrived when Eisley made a stop in Atlanta. First of all, I have only driven to Atlanta once, and I had help. Now I was in charge of navigating and finding my way to a small venue.
The possibility of driving there was daunting but I felt nothing was going to hold me back. I had to see my favorite band live. Obviously since I'm writing this, I made it to the venue and arrived back.
Not to say I didn't encounter a couple agitated beeping horns, and mishaps where I took wrong turns.
As I arrived at the venue I realized the band had been moved to the venue, The Vinyl, so I headed next door. Upon entering, I could feel the anticipation building of seeing Eisley live. The two opening acts warmed up the increasing crowd. Thankfully this wasn't a packed audience, and the venue was set up in a cozy bar enviroment. Finally, after two hours, Eisley arrived on stage. The crowd greeted them in cheers and as the first song began the audiene applauded their choice to start with.
The next thirty minutes flew by with each song. Every time a favorite song was played the crowd conveyed their approval cheers. Various times cameras flashed as the crowd attempted to caputure the moments digitally.
As the last song played the crowd grew quiet so they could cherish the last time they would probably see Eisley in this area for a while. After the band left the stage a few die-hard fans remained to root for an encore, but it was final, the band was finished as it drew near midnight.
I had plenty of time to reflect on the great time I had at the concert. The night went by so fast that it didn't seem real. I still have to look over my pictures I have to convince myself I was actually there.
